Limerick Chamber has partnered with Limerick City and County Council to bring forward the ‘Limerick Gift Card’. The gift card focuses on business in Limerick City Centre, and County Towns and Villages.
The new gift card is expecting to launch before Christmas, with the team currently onboarding businesses to take part. For businesses that take part, there is 0% commission for businesses. Meaning they keep everything that is spent on the gift card – subject to existing terminal fees.

Why Join?
The gift card is a prepaid Mastercard and can be purchased online (physically and digitally), at the Limerick Chamber premises, and top up cards will be available around the city and county allowing a quick and simple process of picking up a blank card and loading it yourself online.
The Limerick Gift Card will provide a tangible investment into several sectors including retail, hospitality, leisure and services, benefitting both the day and night time economy.

Is the Limerick Gift Card Chip and Pin?
The Limerick Gift Card are not chip and pin. They can be processed via swipe or entering card information directly into the terminal. No pin is required and there is no customer registration process required to use the cards.
Are digital cards available?
Yes, digital cards, on mobiles phones or watches will be available and can be used with apply pay or google wallet.
Can the card be used online?
Cards are for in store purchases only.
Are cards available to purchase now?
No, currently we are onboarding businesses to take part in the programme. Once businesses have been onboarded cards will be available to be purchased at physical locations and online. There will also be a “load your own card option” where you can pick up a physical card in store and load it yourself online.
