Championing business growth and investment, Limerick Chamber is dedicated to fostering a thriving Limerick and Mid-West. We are a catalyst in the promotion and progression of the city and region. We support the economic and social development of Limerick through our work with other stakeholders and businesses, our proactive approach to policy development, and our lobbying to impact decisions that benefit the region.

Specialising in SME, Retail and Hospitality and Corporate, Limerick Chamber has three separate business strands so we can better serve our members. We run a wide variety of innovative and inclusive business events and cutting-edge training courses, including a dynamic Regional Leaders programme.

Our Chamber Economist at Limerick Chamber is in-house so we are making a real impact by writing our own policies. We are also recognised for our very strong corporate reputation and active media presence.

Our Team

MICHELLE GALLAGHER

  • CEO

Michelle Gallagher was appointed CEO of Limerick Chamber in Late September 2024.  Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and is a dynamic and accomplished business leader with over 20 years of experience driving strategic growth, innovation, and global brand expansion in diverse sectors, including MedTech, Life Sciences, Consumer Electronics, and Aviation. Her expertise spans senior leadership roles in multinational corporations, start-ups, and SMEs, where she has consistently delivered results through strategic initiatives and digital transformation, expanding global brand presence across Ireland, the UK, EMEA, and international markets.

Her career began in the public sector, where she led a Senator’s constituency office, working closely with government departments, local & national media outlets and local government to achieve significant outcomes for Limerick constituents. This experience laid the foundation for her strong leadership and advocacy skills.

In the private sector, she has excelled as a sole trader, director, and company secretary of an indigenous Irish SME based in the region, further showcasing her versatility and leadership capabilities and her commitment to growing businesses in the region. Michelle’s career to date has included senior leadership positions in multinational corporations, commercial semi-state entities, startups, and SMEs, where she has consistently delivered results through effective resource management and innovative business strategies.

SEÁN GOLDEN

  • Chief Economist / Director of Policy

Seán Golden joined the Chamber team in 2022. Prior to taking up his position at the chamber, Seán worked as the Economist with the Land Development Agency (LDA), leading their policy and economic research function as well as leading Project Tosaigh, the LDA’s homebuilding partnership. He also previously held the position of Senior Economist with EY, where he provided economic consultancy services to a range of organisations across the public and private sector. Prior to joining EY, he worked with the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform / Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES) as an Economist and also spent several years in retail banking with Bank of Ireland.

Seán holds an MSc in Economic Analysis from the University of Limerick where he graduated top of his class and received the Northern Trust Outstanding Scholar Award. He also holds a BBS in Economic and Finance from the University of Limerick. Seán is also active in the voluntary sector in Limerick having worked with the European Expo 2020, Lean on Me and MyMind.

He currently chairs the Chambers Ireland Urbanisation taskforce.

CAOIMHE MOLONEY

  • Event and Communications Manager

Caoimhe has served as a pivotal force at the Limerick Chamber , spearheading event management, chamber communications and member engagement since April 2016. With an academic foundation in Business Studies and Event Management from the Limerick Institute of Technology, enhanced by specialized certifications in leadership and digital marketing, Caoimhe has distinguished herself through innovative leadership and strategic foresight. Currently enhancing her skill set with an Executive MBA at the University of Limerick, she demonstrates a relentless pursuit of excellence and strategic growth. Her tenure at the Chamber is marked by digital initiatives and a comprehensive enhancement of event strategies,  enhanced membership communications, digital presence, and implementing tools such as the Digital Member pack to help support members and ensure member satisfaction.

Caoimhe’s professional journey includes contributions to a variety of events and marketing initiatives. Her roles have ranged from orchestrating operations for a global training company to large scale event such as Special Olympics  and  managing VIP gatherings for the J.P. McManus Pro-Am Gala.

MICHAEL MacCURTAIN

  • Skillnet Manager

Michael MacCurtain is the Skillnet Network Manager at Limerick Chamber and Limerick Chamber Skillnet. In the role since December 2021, he oversees the design, delivery, and evaluation of training and development programmes for businesses and employees in the Mid-West region.

Michael is passionate about helping businesses and individuals to enhance their performance, productivity, and potential through customised and innovative learning solutions. He is also committed to building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and clients, and to collaborating with other Skillnet networks and organisations to deliver high-quality and impactful training and development initiatives.

Michael sits on the following boards and committees:

  • Explore Engineering Industry Cluster Group
  • Digital Mid-West Industry Cluster Group

Michael has a Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing & Analytics, a H. Dip in Digital Marketing, a BSC in Business and is a Qualified Financial Advisor.

SIAN MURRAY

  • Skillnet Administrator

Sian joined Limerick Chamber and Skillnet Network in February 2022. She has extensive experience in office administration, client relations and marketing across the Business Formation, Tourism, Services and Distribution sectors. Sian holds a BA Degree in Languages and Cultural Studies and a Masters in Community Music, both from University of Limerick. She also holds qualifications and experience in Language education and loves opportunities to use and improve her Irish and Portuguese . Sian is enthusiastic about the opportunity her role provides to assist in enhancing the work and training landscape of an increasingly vibrant Limerick and Mid-West region .

MARGARET CORBETT

  • Certificates of Origin Administrator

Margaret Corbett commenced work with the Limerick Chamber of Commerce in April 2011 and is a member of the Certificates of Origin team. Margaret began her career with De Beers in Shannon. Prior to this, she was mainly involved in clerical administration work in a variety of organisations. Margaret has previously held administrative and customer-facing positions at Limerick College of Further Education.

MARY EGAN

  • PA and Administrator

Mary Egan has worked as PA to Dee Ryan and Limerick Administrator for Certificates of Origin and Chamber since 2014. Mary began her career with Dunnes Stores in the role of office administrator. She has previously held customer-facing positions with Croom Enterprise Centre and Barnardos. Prior to this, she was with First Active as Lead Customer Service Advisor. Mary is currently pursuing a Diploma in Human Resource Management with IBEC.

Antoinette Keating

ANTOINETTE KEATING

  • Accounts Manager

Antoinette Keating joined Limerick Chamber and Limerick Chamber Skillnet in September 2017 as Financial Manager. Antoinette has a certified ACCA degree in Financial Accounting and has extensive experience in all financial matters, From Banking, Monthly Reporting, Quarterly Accounts, Debtors, Creditors, Monthly Reporting for Executive & Board of Director meetings, Payroll and Office Administration. Antoinette also works with the team in the areas of Membership Communications and Skillnet activities. Prior to joining Limerick Chamber, Antoinette worked as a financial manager with numerous local SMEs.
