Limerick Chamber brings together key players for ‘Energy on Estuary’ event outlining actions needed to make Green Energy at scale a reality from the Shannon Estuary
Business community briefing and expert panel discussion to take place on February 24th
Limerick Chamber has unveiled the line-up for the forthcoming ‘Energy on the Estuary’ briefing and panel discussion to take place on Friday the 24th of February in the city, with key players in Off-Shore Wind energy sector taking part.
With much buzz about the anticipated investment and economic opportunities arising for Clare, Limerick and North Kerry, this hotly anticipated event brings together Barry O’Sullivan, Chair of the Government’s Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce , ORE industry expert Val Cummins, Operations & Project Director (Ireland) Simply Blue, Pat Keating CEO, Shannon Foynes Port Company and Grid expert Ciaran McManus, Head of Offshore Wind Generation, Ireland, ESB to outline what is necessary in the coming years. Special opening address will be from Green Party TD, Deputy Brian Leddin, Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on Environment and Climate Action.
Limerick Chamber is the largest business representative body in the Mid-West with 400 member organisations supporting 50,000 jobs.
As a strong advocate for Offshore Wind generation from the West coast of Ireland, Limerick Chamber has been a leading voice in calling for policy reforms and infrastructural investment necessary to realise this opportunity.
MC, for the morning is Limerick Chamber CEO, Dee Ryan a member of the Government’s Shannon Estuary Economic Taskforce which is due to report to Tánaiste Simon Coveney in the coming months.
This event will offer the business community of the Mid-West an industry insight into the scale of the opportunity as we strive toward a green energy future as well as potential for Ireland to become an energy exporter.
