Mayor of Limerick, John Moran said: “As mayor, I selected the development of a music festival on this bank holiday weekend as a new priority for Limerick. I was delighted when the organisers came to us with their impressive plans. A more Fun Limerick is a key deliverable of the Mayoral Programme, so it was logical for me to match the investment of Diageo from the Mayoral Fund, making this venture a reality for 2025 and hopefully 2026 as it goes from strength to strength. Having events which are inclusive and free, and including one or more county towns, are key elements in the plans for me. I hope everyone in Limerick will now get behind this new idea to showcase some of Limerick’s fi nest.”
Ann Marie Brady of Diageo noted: “We’re delighted to collaborate with this exciting new cultural festival in support of Limerick, especially the events taking place in the city’s vibrant pubs.
