Limerick Chamber Skillnet is funded by Skillnet Ireland and our member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation & Science.

Please note that from time to time Skillnet Ireland or a third party may carry out a quality assurance assessment on randomly selected courses/seminars, if you are contacted please take the time to answer the questions that you are asked regarding the training and Limerick Chamber Skillnet.

General Conditions Of Funding – Membership & Participants

· You (sole trader etc) or your company must be a member of Limerick Chamber Skillnet to be eligible for the grant-aided fee, HOWEVER, membership is free and automatic on booking a training event for the first time, subject to eligibility and verification. · To be eligible for the grant-aided fee you must be either employed or self-employed.

· Your company/business must be registered in the Republic of Ireland.

· Participants at training events must be resident in Ireland, but can be any nationality.

· If you work for a public-sector organisation and wish to attend a training event as part of your work, then you are not eligible for grant-aided fees. This is to avoid double funding of government agencies.

· The network will never pay the grant-aided amount directly to the member company or trainee, the grant will always be in the form of a reduced training cost.

Bookings

· All bookings are provisional until training event fees have been paid and where applicable, eligibility for grand-funded fees is verified.

· Training event schedules are subject to demand and in exceptional circumstances can be postponed or cancelled.

· Limerick Chamber Skillnet reserves the right to alter the contents of any training event or the programme specialists and/or the venue(s), where necessary, if due to circumstances beyond its control.

· Requests for substitution of attendees will be facilitated were possible but are not guaranteed. Requests should be emailed to s.murray@limerickchamber.ie AND m.maccurtain@limerickchamber.ie at the earliest opportunity.

· By booking a training event or registering as a trainee you give consent to Limerick Chamber Skillnet and Skillnet Ireland to collect and process personal data for the necessary legitimate interest of managing and delivering the training event and in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Payments & Refunds

· Training event fees must be paid in full and in advance of the event commencing unless a prior agreement has been reached with Limerick Chamber Skillnet.

· Fees can be paid by EFT, debit or credit card (payment details and credit card payment link will be included on your invoice). Some training events may require immediate payment at the time of booking.

· Cancellations are only permitted subject to the Cancellation Policy below. Some training events may have a different refund policy. If applicable, this will be stated on the relevant training event information page

· Refunds are only authorised if the request for cancellation is given in accordance with the Cancellation Policy. Training fees will be NOT be refunded once a training event has commenced.

· In the case of cancellation where the terms of the Cancellation Policy are not met, or in the case of non-attendance, any invoices issued remain due

and payment is required as per the payment conditions stated. Any payments made are not refundable.

· Limerick Chamber Skillnet is funded on an annual basis. Funding for longer term courses (covering 2 or more calendar years) will be allocated for each financial year. Therefore in these cases, 2 invoices may be issued with the cost spread over the 2 year

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations should be sent in writing by email to the Limerick Chamber Skillnet administrator before the course commencement date at s.murray@limerickchamber.ie, always cc-ing m.maccurtain@limerickchamber.ie

We understand that sometimes unforseen circumstances arise that may prevent attendance on a course. We strive to be as accommodating as possible. In the event of a cancellation or a no-show by the participant, the following applies:

1. Full payment of the course fee will be required in advance of booking to secure spaces on any Limerick Chamber Skillnet training courses.

2. Cancellations over 5 working days in advance of the scheduled training date shall incur no cancellation fee.

3. Cancellations within 5 working days up to 72 hours of the scheduled training date shall incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost.

4. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before the course are not entitled to a refund.

5. Where a Member Company has booked a course and does not attend on the day, full payment is still required.

6. Member Companies may substitute participants at any time prior to the start of the course. Limerick Chamber Skillnet Administrator needs to be notified about the change, otherwise any certificates or accreditation will not be issued accordingly.

Note: In the event of there being insufficient numbers booked onto an event, Limerick Chamber Skillnet reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event. If an event is cancelled, the payer will be offered a full refund, or an alternative date may be offered.

Please note that in some cases, such as with certain courses, the cancellation policy may differ and will be clearly stated in the course description.

Administration

· As a condition of the funding you or attendees are required to complete certain documentation, for example, an attendee/trainee profile form or registration form.

· It is the responsibility of the employer or the person booking the training event to ensure that all documentation, including that required from attendees, is requested of Limerick Chamber Skillnet, and completed when and where required.

· Where a sign in sheet is present, attendees must sign in daily.

· At the end of the course attendees are requested to complete the evaluation form/Reaction to Learning form.

Skills Connect: Free Places For Unemployed/Career Transition Participants

· Limerick Chamber Skillnet operate (on a limited basis) some specific courses for unemployed participants/those who are changing career paths.

· These courses are known as Skills Connect Courses.
