16 November 2015: Limerick Chamber has launched a new membership strand specifically for the Retail and Hospitality sector. The launch follows a re-organisation of Limerick Chamber’s membership base which has been divided into four categories to cater for distinct sectors.
By re-organising its membership base, Limerick Chamber aims to provide a better and more tailored quality of service to its members and their needs.
At the launch event in the Clarion Hotel, Limerick Chamber CEO, Dr. James Ring, who is responsible for retail and hospitality members, explained the move, “Making Limerick City and its environs a true living city and region, is high on our agenda. The retail and hospitality sector are the cornerstone of Limerick City. It plays a major role in making Limerick an attractive place to live and work in. We need a thriving vibrant city centre first which will have a knock-on effect on the greater region.”
“I see Limerick Chamber as the conduit through which we can make things happen. We want retail and hospitality members to work with us so we can more effectively pursue our policy agenda and support the development of our city through one strong unified voice,” he continued.
Businesses in the Retail and Hospitality sector who are members of the Chamber will enjoy other benefits like having the opportunity to avail of best practice peer to peer learning and attend a series of action-oriented workshops, tailored specifically for B2C members.
Outlining his strategy to attendees at the launch Dr James Ring said, “Our strategy is the road map, one that I am confident that will bring our vision for a strong and vibrant city centre to fruition. But we need all of Limerick’s retail and hospitality businesses to get behind us. It is only through a single, unified, collective voice that we will be heard.”
Limerick Chamber’s three other membership categories are: SME, Corporate and Business Builder.
