Shortlist announced for Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards 2013

The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards 2013, sponsored by LIT, will be hotly contested by 21 companies across 7 categories.  The winners of the categories, as well as the 2013 Overall Business of the Year and the President’s Award, will be announced at the Limerick Chamber President’s Dinner, on Friday 15 November in the Strand Hotel, Limerick.

Announcing the shortlist, Maria Kelly, Limerick Chamber CEO, said, “To make the Limerick Chamber Business Awards shortlist is a statement of achievement for any organisation. The number of high quality entries received this year, especially in a challenging economic environment, is a testament to the dynamic business base we have in the Limerick region.”

 

Dr Maria Hinfelaar, President, Limerick Institute of Technology, who are headline sponsors of the Awards, said, “The Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards are about highlighting and celebrating business achievements, innovation and excellence in the region.  I would like to congratulate those companies who are in contention for an award – that in itself is an achievement given the calibre of entries received.”

 

Almost 100 entries were submitted across 7 categories.

The Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts drawn from the senior management teams of sponsors, with secretariat provided by LIT.

 

 

About the Awards

Now in its third year, the annual Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards celebrate excellence in business across 7 categories.  Northern Trust won the Overall Business of the Year Award in 2012 and Cook Medical in 2011.

Previous winners of the President’s Award include Paddy O’Sullivan and Denis Brosnan.

The Limerick Chamber President’s dinner will be held in the Strand Hotel on the evening of Friday 15 November.  The event is the most prestigious business event in the region. Over 400 guests will attend the black tie gala event this year.
