The emergence and surge in the growth in demand for online shopping is an international phenomenon which is challenging and changing the face of business commerce. A recent report produced by Limerick Chamber Economist, Dr Órlaith Borthwick found that online shopping can complement rather than substitute retail stores. In Ireland, an estimated 43% of people between the ages of 16 and 74 made purchases on the internet in 2011 (Central Statistics Office, 2012). But a worrying trend within the Irish online market is that €3 of every €4 spent is spent on overseas goods and services. Irish businesses need to enhance their online presence and become more e-commerce savvy.
This e-commerce workshop, delivered by Hailstorm Commerce (specialists in helping businesses trade online), will examine the opportunities that exist and the systems and requirements that businesses need to consider to seize these opportunities.
This Workshop would be most suited to Retailers, Wholesalers, Manufacturers and Distributors.
