Limerick Chamber has today (1/10/14) welcomed Canada’s Optel Vision to Limerick after the announcement that the company will locate its EMEA Manufacturing and Operations Centre in Limerick.

Speaking about the announcement, Chamber Interim CEO Dr. Órlaith Borthwick said “Limerick Chamber is delighted to welcome yet another innovative, exciting and expanding company to our region.

Limerick has a renowned historic strength as a centre for manufacturing excellence, reflected in the fact that this is Optel Vision’s first operation and engineering service outside of North America. We are delighted to hear that recruitment for the 140 jobs that will be created is already underway and we have no doubt that future expansions will occur given the highly skilled and flexible workforce available here” concluded Dr. Borthwick
