The Government declaration last night for almost all of us to fan ábhaile is another positive action that we take, together, to keep our friends and loved ones safe.
Further clarification on the Wage Subsidy Scheme was published yesterday (click here for the most up to date info) and we are assured that the Revenue Commissioners are working hard to clear up outstanding issues and concerns that people have around the operation of the scheme.
We advise you to consult your legal advisor or accountant for guidance on implications of the scheme for your individual organisation.
We commend Department of Finance and Revenue Commissioners for the speedy introduction of this broad measure and recognise the hard work that has been put in to get it done – fast is not always perfect, but speed of action was required and the spirit of the measure is supportive of employers and employees, so we will continue to engage to address issues within the scheme from that perspective as we work to get your concerns addressed.

We also recognise and are proud as a community, of our healthcare workers and colleagues in medical and pharmaceutical organisations in Limerick whose contributions to healing take on heightened importance as their work continues.
