“Think big, start small, scale fast”

Leadership Development Programme kicks off with former Dell Technologies, Senior VP, Denis Kelly.

Only a handful of Executives in the world have served in Michael Dell’s leadership team, and Newcastlewest native Denis Kelly, enthralled the audience of 127 senior and future Limerick  leaders by  sharing insights into his incredible career, his personal leadership style and the lessons in transformation and innovation that he  learned during his 24 years with the iconic  US technology giant.

Kelly was speaking at the launch of the Limerick Chamber Regional Leaders Programme 2020, a soft skills development, speaker series, run in conjunction with Kemmy Business School and Dell Technologies.

Regional Leaders Programme is a quarterly opportunity for management of companies across the Mid-West to hear the experiences and learnings of key business people from the region and beyond  Limerick Chamber CEO Dee Ryan said: “The Regional Leaders Programme is a brilliant platform for our members to hear about the key attributes of leadership. We’ve had an incredible line-up over the years of speakers and Denis Kelly maintained the incredibly high standard on home turf, as it were, today.

“Dell Technologies is a huge contributor to the Mid West economy and Denis Kelly, as their Site Leader and one of the company’s global leaders, has an incredible depth of leadership experience that very much came across in his talk. The insights he and his fellow leaders who come together to deliver this annual programme are invaluable to our members. We are very grateful to Denis and the other leaders for taking time out of their schedule to front this exciting programme.”

Said Mr Kelly: “Today was a great opportunity to meet so many different leaders across the region. There is a great sense of positivity across this Mid West today and I think platforms like this are essential for us to be able to meet and work together in the common good. Limerick Chamber has done an excellent job in nurturing that ethos and I was delighted today to meet and talk with people who typify the energy and innovation that is so evident across the region.”

Said Sean O’Reilly, VP EMEA Logistics & Site Leader Dell Technologies, Limerick: “Dell Technologies’ are delighted to have the opportunity to host so many business leaders at the events here on our site and today was a great moment for one of our own, Denis Kelly, to deliver his insights. This programme brings people together from all walks of business.  It’s a fantastic networking opportunity as well and there’s a real sense of positivity from it so well done to Limerick Chamber on making this happen.”
