Limerick Chamber recently welcomed Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland to Limerick where they held a private meeting focused on ensuring that Limerick continues to benefit from the regional policy remit of IDA.

Speaking about the meeting Limerick Chamber CEO Dr. James Ring said “The Limerick region is going through a renaissance and IDA are key stakeholders in delivering investment and jobs for the Mid-West, Limerick Chamber is committed to working alongside the IDA to ensure that as many jobs as possible come to our region, with a special focus on attracting them to the City Centre.”

There are a number of priority areas we will be pursuing, such as the N69 and M20 road projects, the redevelopment of city centre sites such as the Hanging Gardens, Opera and Cleeves and we will be working to ensure the skill needs of our industries are matched by the 3rd level institutions, to name just a few.  Indeed Limerick Chamber have requested a meeting with our new Minister for Transport, Shane Ross to highlight the infrastructural need of the region later in the summer. ”

“Limerick Chamber is delighted that Mr. Shanahan has visited Limerick again to experience first-hand the collaboration, cooperation and can-do attitude of our business leaders. We look forward to continuing to work with IDA Ireland, and in particular the newly appointed Regional Manager Niall O’Callaghan, to deliver on mutually beneficial collaborations which will ensure our region competes in a globally competitive market for mobile investment” concluded Dr. Ring.
